Canadian Schools Announces Positive COVID-19 Case
Canadian Schools Announces Positive COVID-19 Case

Thursday, November 12, 2020

Dear Parents,

We regret to inform you that a faculty member at Canadian Public Schools has tested positive for COVID-19. Please understand that I cannot give out names. Per our COVID-19 Protocols, the employee was contract traced. This means close contact definition (6 feet for more than 15 minutes). Those parents of students in the classroom have been notified as well as anyone else who meets the definition of close contact. At this time, we do not feel that your child was in close contact with the positive individual, however, we are working with the health officials on “contact tracing” and will individually notify you if we find out otherwise.

We are following CDC guidelines, protocols set by the State Department of Health and our school district, to decrease potential spread.

Should your child/children start exhibiting COVID related symptoms, it is recommended that you contact their primary care physician or the local health department to have them tested.

If you are uncomfortable sending your student back to in person learning currently, we understand and are here to support you. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our school office at (918) 339-2705.

Sincerely,

Michael Broyles

Superintendent
