Our school will soon be participating in the Oklahoma Prevention Needs Assessment (OPNA) Survey, conducted by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
🗓 Survey Date: Friday, January 30, 2026
🧑💻6th, 8th, 10th, 12th grade students only
The OPNA survey helps schools and communities better understand the challenges Oklahoma students face so we can plan effective prevention and support programs. Topics include school climate, mental health, substance use, and other factors that impact student well-being.
🔒 Confidential & Anonymous
• No student names or identifying information are collected
• Results are reported only in group summaries
✅ Voluntary Participation
• Students may skip any question
• Parents/guardians may opt their child out
• Alternative activities will be provided for students who do not participate
📊 OPNA data is used by schools and local prevention teams to:
• Strengthen student support programs
• Focus resources where they are needed most
• Identify protective factors that help students make healthy choices
📩 Opt-Out Information:
If you do not want your child to participate, please notify the school in writing at least two school days before the survey.
