Our district staff understands that our decision to open or close schools in bad weather has a big effect on families. We also understand that our students are better served-both academically and socially-by being in school. But as always, our top priority is the safety of our students. Please find our process for making this decision here: https://5il.co/152bh

If your child rides Linda’s bus we are aware of a situation that was unforeseen. We are sending a bus to run that route ASAP. Pick up times could be an hour later than we typically. We deeply regret this situation.

As we see a rise in the cases of COVID-19, I would like to remind you of the Daily Self-Checklist for Canadian Schools. Parents should review the following checklist for each child in their household. This action is necessary every day before a student can attend school. By sending your child to school, you are telling the Canadian Public Schools that the answer to each of these questions is "No." 1) Has your child had a fever of 100 degrees or more at any point in the last 24 hours? 2) Has your child had COVID-19 in the past 10 days or do you think your child has COVID19 now? 3) Has your child tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days? 4) Has your child been directed to be under quarantine by the health department in the last 10 days? 5) Have you taken a COVID-19 test and are awaiting the results? If any of the answers to these questions is YES please keep your student home. We are slightly behind other areas near us because of the extended Christmas Break. However, we expect to see a increase in the number of cases. Please reach out to the office and let the staff know if your student tests positive for COVID-19. Canadian Public Schools will remain in session as long as we have staff to safely accommodate learning for our students.
